About us
About NEBLINA Friendship
A real UK friendship and social-events club run by real people. For 19 years we have welcomed members to walks, dinners and socials across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Bedfordshire and beyond, always with warmth, respect, and room for newcomers.
Who we are
Why join a UK friendship club?
NEBLINA Friendship is a member-led social club for adults who want genuine company, whether you are making new friends, building an active social life, or meeting people one-to-one and at small group events. Research from the NHS on loneliness highlights how regular social contact supports wellbeing.
Founded in 2007, we are registered for data protection and run by a small volunteer team who know members by name. You will always speak to a person, not a call centre. See the ICO guidance for small organisations for how we handle your personal data.
We meet across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Bedfordshire, Derbyshire, York & South Yorkshire, Doncaster, Peterborough and Cardiff and Swindon. If your area is not listed yet, tell us, new locations are added as members join.

House rules
To ensure everyone has a wonderful time, we ask all members to follow our simple house rules:
- Property:Respect the whole property. No smoking or vaping anywhere, including gardens and driveways.
- Respect:Be respectful, polite, and helpful. Swearing, slang, or derogatory comments are not permitted.
- Phones:Keep phones out of sight and on silent during events.
- Dining:Wait for your host to start eating before you do. Please don't leave the table between courses.
Conversation
Guidelines
At group events, we avoid the “three big topics”: politics, death, and religion, to keep conversations light and inclusive.
- • There's a Death Cafe-style event hosted most months for deeper reflection.
- • Occasional religious visits appear in our diary.
- • Politics can be discussed one-to-one, privately, once you've met someone.
